Call for Proposals: 2nd Annual Bay Area Urban Politics Workshop

Shanghai

We are excited to invite you to the second annual Bay Area Comparative Urban Politics Workshop on April 24, 2020. The workshop will allow professors and graduate students working on urban politics across the world to share their research, receive feedback, and meet other scholars from the broader Bay Area. We are organizing a day that combines a variety of different panel formats, including lightning research talks and traditional research presentations. We will conclude the day with a session focused on Jonathan Rodden’s book, Why Cities Lose: The Deep Roots of the Urban-Rural Political Divide. The workshop is co-sponsored by Global Metropolitan Studies and the Center for the Politics of Development.

If you are interested in participating (either as a presenter or as an attendee), please fill out this form by March 1.

If you have questions, please contact one of the co-organizers: Jeff Paller (USF) and Alison Post (UC Berkeley).
